About 411
411 Communications is a digital communications agency specialising in political campaigning. We work with politicians, political parties and organisations in the UK and internationally to help them communicate more effectively, build audiences and deliver impactful digital campaigns.
We're a fast-moving team that combines political understanding with creative thinking, digital expertise and a willingness to try new things.
About the role
We're looking for a talented and politically engaged Senior Executive to join our content team.
This is a role for someone who understands politics, loves social media and knows how to turn complicated political issues into engaging, accessible content.
You'll work across a range of political campaigns and clients, developing creative ideas, producing content and helping to shape how politicians and organisations communicate online.
We're looking for someone who can do more than respond to a brief. You'll be expected to spot opportunities, pitch ideas, understand what makes content work and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery.
You'll also play an important role in supporting junior colleagues, sharing your knowledge and helping to raise the standard of content across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Political content and creativity
Develop creative, social-first content ideas for political campaigns, politicians and organisations.
Turn political developments, policy announcements and complex issues into engaging, accessible content.
Write scripts, social media copy, video concepts and creative briefs.
Produce and oversee content across platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
Identify emerging trends, formats and opportunities that clients can respond to.
Work with videographers, designers and other colleagues to bring ideas to life.
Ensure content is politically accurate, engaging and appropriate for the audience and platform.
Campaign delivery
Take ownership of content projects, managing them from initial idea through to publication.
Work directly with clients to understand their objectives and develop creative approaches.
Contribute to content strategies and campaign planning.
Respond quickly and creatively to political developments and breaking news.
Manage competing deadlines across multiple projects while maintaining high standards.
Use performance data and audience insights to understand what's working and improve future content.
Team development and collaboration
Support and mentor junior members of the content team, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Help maintain high creative standards across the team's work.
Contribute ideas and expertise to projects beyond your immediate responsibilities.
Share examples of effective political content, new formats and emerging platform trends.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across content, advertising, strategy and campaign delivery.
About you
We're looking for someone with strong political instincts, excellent creative judgement and a genuine enthusiasm for digital campaigning.
Essential skills and experience
A strong understanding of UK politics and the political landscape.
Experience producing digital content, ideally in politics, campaigning, communications or a similar environment.
Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
A strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
The ability to develop original creative ideas and turn them into effective content.
Good political judgement and confidence working on sensitive or fast-moving issues.
Experience managing projects, deadlines and multiple competing priorities.
Confidence giving feedback, supporting colleagues and working directly with clients.
A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work.
Desirable experience
Experience working on political or issue-based campaigns.
Experience filming, editing or producing short-form video.
Experience developing content strategies and using performance data.
Experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues.
Familiarity with paid social advertising and how organic content can support wider campaign objectives.
What we're looking for
Above all, we're looking for someone who is curious, creative and ambitious.
You should be the sort of person who sees a political story and immediately starts thinking about how to turn it into a great piece of content.
You'll need to be comfortable working at pace, confident enough to challenge ideas and willing to get stuck into the practical work of producing content.
This is a hands-on role. We want someone who enjoys making things as much as coming up with ideas, and who is excited about helping others develop their skills along the way.
